Director, Legal and Government Affairs & Legal Counsel for Toronto Blue Jays
Global GTM Merchandising Manager in Top Collaboration for Adidas
Amir is one of three legal advisors with the Toronto Blue Jays who provides in-depth business and legal advice to the organization on a broad range of matters. During undergrad at U of T, Amir joined the founders of UTSB to help execute the first ever Sports Industry Conference at UTSB. In the following year, he served as the first UTSB Vice-President, where he helped further entrench UTSB as a platform for U of T students interested in a career in sports.
After completing law school at the Faculty of Law at U of T, Amir practiced as an associate lawyer at a top Bay Street law firm – Wildeboer Dellelce LLP – where he was exposed to a wide variety of clients, including those in the sports, entertainment and technology spaces. On his spare time, he continued to stay involved in the sports industry with roles with the You Can Play Projects, the 2017 World Junior Hockey Championship in Toronto and the Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada.
For Amir, UTSB provided him with the platform to meet industry executives and learn about excelling within the sports industry. Nearly a decade later, he remains in touch with those industry professionals and students who he met in his time at UTSB.
